100均で売ってるガラスのタイルを使って、可愛い壁掛けのフォトフレームを作ってみましょう！
100均のビーズなどが売ってるコーナーには、ガラスのタイルも並んでいます。
ステンドグラス用のガラスではありませんが、ちょっとした小物を作るには、このガラスタイルでも十分可愛いフレームが出来ますよ。

初心者でも楽しく作れる！ステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作ってみよう！
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームと言うと、「材料費がかかりそう」「難しそう」というイメージをお持ちの方も多いのではないでしょうか？
確かに、ステンドグラス用のガラスを購入して本格的に作るとなると、お金もかかり難しい作業も多くなりますが、ちょっとステンドグラスをしてみたい方や、練習をしたいなら100均の材料でもできるんですよ。
100均の材料で、難しそうなガラスカットやガラス研磨などの作業も無く簡単に作れるステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作ってみましょう。
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作るのに必要なものや材料は？
今回作るステンドグラスのフォトフレームに使う材料と道具を紹介します。
ガラス類は100均、金具類はホームセンターで調達しました。
材料
今回は、100均の「GLASS TILE」の小さいのと大きいのを混ぜて作りましたが、どちらか1種類でもOKです。あなたのセンスで使い分けてください。
ただ、小さいタイルは、それだけ数を使うので、作業が多くなってしまいます。練習で作るなら、あまりおすすめはしません。
フォトフレームも100均のL版で、ガラスだけ使います。
大きなフォトフレームを作りたいのなら、ポストカード版を買うと良いでしょう。
裏で写真を止めるための針金と、フォトフレームを吊るすための金具です。針金は20cm、金具は2個あれば十分です。
必ず、「銅」「真鍮」のものを買ってください。
道具
テープ巻きに必要な道具は以下の通りです。
- コパーフォイル（「カッパーテープ」「カッパーフォイル」とも呼ばれます）
- ヘラ
- ハンダ溶接に必要な道具
- 棒ハンダ
- ペースト
- ハンダコテ
- 軍手
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームの作り方
100均の材料を使ったステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作っていきます。
まず、おおよそのイメージと使うタイルの数を把握するため並べてみましょう。
ここは、あなたのセンスでOKです！
以前から買い集めていたガラスのタイルを集めてカラフルにしました。
写真の部分には透明ガラスが入ります。100均のフォトフレームのガラスの部分だけ使います。
1. コパーフォイル巻き
ガラスタイルと、透明ガラスに1枚1枚コパーフォイルを巻いていきます。
私の場合は、全28枚（大22枚、小6枚）です。
テープを巻き終わったら、ガラスの並べ方とか、フォトフレームの向きを決めましょう。
私は、横長の写真の方が多いので横向きにしました。
2. ハンダ溶接
ハンダを溶接するので、ペーストをテープに塗っていきます。
この時に気をつけていただきたいことがあります！
①と②の部分には、吊り下げ金具をつけるので、ちょっとすき間が開くようにしてください。
まず、作業しやすいようにハンダを少量付けてガラス同士を固定します。
表面をハンダ溶接したら、裏もしていきます。
100均のガラスタイルは、裏はこんな感じなので、普通のステンドグラスのような光を通すような作品は作れませんね。
フレームの部分のハンダ溶接が終了しました！
3. フォトフレーム最終仕上げ
それでは、最終仕上げ！写真を差し込む部分と、吊り下げ金具を付けていきます。
私は、チェーンがあったので金具にチェーンを付けましたが、チェーンが無ければ紐でもOKです。
その場合は、金具をそのままフレームに付けて、あとから紐を通します。
紐を使う場合は、フレームの重さで切れたりしないような強い物を使ってくださいね。あるいは、2重3重にして、落下などを防いでください。
ニッパなどで、針金を4cmに4つ切ります。イートンを2個、吊り下げ部分の金具に使います。
写真よりも厚い紙を置いて、針金をフレームに固定します。
ここは、写真を入れる部分です。このように、4箇所に付けます。針金が外れない程度で付けばOKです。
あまり綺麗に見えませんが、実際もあまり綺麗じゃありません。
丁寧にしようと思うと、ハンダが溶けたり、針金が熱くなって、なかなか上手く出来ません。
ここは裏側になるので、あまり気にしなくても大丈夫です。
表にして、吊り下げ金具を付けます。
スペースを空けた部分に、すっぽりと入るくらいが良いです。
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームが完成しました！！
ペーストの油がついてベトベトになっているので、洗剤で綺麗に洗ってください。
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作るときの3つのコツ
2cm×2cmのガラスのタイルを並べていくので、どうしても歪んでしまいます。
これは、長年ステンドグラスをしてきた人でも完璧に直線にすることは難しいでしょう。でも、その歪みは、それはそれで手作り感が出て良いのではないでしょうか？
数が合わなくなったときは？
ガラスタイルを並べてパターン化していくと、必ず、合わなくなったり、すき間が空いたりします。
その時は、見栄え良くなるように並べて、すき間はハンダで上手く調整すると良いでしょう。
これは、フォトフレームに限らず、ステンドグラスではよくあることです。
合わなくても、上手く無理やり合わせるのも、腕の見せどころです！
金具を入れるところはすき間を大きく取る
吊り下げ金具を付ける部分は、特にすき間が必要になってきます。
すき間が出来ない時は、他を調整してでもすき間を作りましょう。
完成したら必ず洗剤で洗いましょう
完成後のステンドグラス作品は、ペーストの油やハンダの後などで、かなり汚いです。
食器用の洗剤で良いので、綺麗に洗いましょう！
汚れが取れない部分は、除光液やガラスクリーナーで拭いてください。食洗機で洗うのは絶対にやめてください。
ステンドグラスのフォトフレームを作るときの注意点や気を付けること
ステンドグラスを作る際の注意点をまとめてみました。
今回のような、フォトフレームに限らず共通していることです。
金具や針金は「真鍮」「銅」が必要な理由
ステンドグラスで吊り下げ作品を作る際に、使う金具は必ず素材が「真鍮」か「銅」の物を使ってください。
というのも、ハンダは「真鍮」か「銅」以外には付かないからです。
吊り下げ金具の場合は、補強の部分になるため、重要なことです。
どうしても真鍮や銅の金具が用意できない場合は、コパーフォイルを巻いて代用する事も出来ますが、仕上がりは綺麗じゃないです。
ハンダ溶接の際は火傷に注意してください
ハンダはとても熱くなるので、使用の際は火傷には注意してください！
今回の場合、フレームの裏に写真を止める針金を付ける作業は、真鍮の針金がとても熱くなります。
時間をかければかけるほど熱くなるので、ささっと終わらせるのがコツです。
吊り下げ金具にチェーンを付ける場合の注意点
吊り下げ金具のイートンにチェーンを付ける場合は、ペンチなどを使わないと出来ません。
イートンのすき間を広げて、チェーンを通すことになります。
チェーンが一番綺麗に見える長さは、フレームのあたまから画鋲までの高さが10cmです。
